Mirchee Chettinad Crab Curry - Episode 9
Recipe:
Ingredients for Grinding
8 pieces of Dried Chili
1 tbsp of Cumin Seeds
1 tbsp of Coriander Seeds
2 tbsp of Black Peppercorn
1 tbsp of Fennel Seeds
3 inches of Cinnamon Sticks
2 pieces of Star Anise
½ cup of Shredded Coconut
½ cup of Water
Step 1: Making the Paste
1) Grind (dry) all spices until it becomes powder.
2) Add in shredded coconut – grind again.
3) Add in water – grind until it becomes smooth paste.
Ingredients for Cooking
Cooking oil
1 ½ cup of chopped Red Onion
1 tsp of Mustard Seeds
1 cup of Fresh Curry Leaves
1 tsp of Garlic Paste
1 tsp of Ginger Paste
½ cup of Water
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
Raw Crab
Salt
Sugar
Step 2: Cooking the Crab
1) In a pan, sauté red onion halfway.
2) Add in mustard seeds, fresh curry leaves, garlic paste, ginger paste.
3) Add in paste & sauté it again.
4) Add in water, salt, sugar, tomato paste.
5) Add in crab & mix it well.
6) On low heat, let it cooked slowly, & DONE!
